About
As a trans queer immigrant artist and community organizer, my work is a powerful medium that connects people with gender identities, sexuality, culture, and feelings of home. People are the experts of their own stories. In today’s society, narratives are built without their input. My work aims to celebrate and share people’s realities through art, culture, and conversation.
For more than a decade, I have invited people to create art with me. I build relationships, conduct research and community conversations, and document the experience through all forms of media. With these stories in hand, I create art that is a vibrant and powerful representation in large-scale prints for installations. I believe that when people feel heard and seen in their authentic selves, they can connect with one another.
Right now, we need to encourage people who have historically bee oppressed to share their true selves to create a world that is more accepting and inclusive for everyone.
